Commencing in 2008, SIPSAR a vacancies available for the posts of Principal, Professor, Lecturer, Associate Professor, Reader, Librarian or a Lab Technician.

The teaching program at SIPSAR on educating pharmacy graduates with the knowledge and skills to work as pharmacists in India and abroad. To this end we are particularly interested in postgraduate qualified pharmacists from academic, clinical hospital, corporate, and community settings with an interest in teaching into our integrated curriculum. We care particularly keen on specialists in clinical pharmacy, pharmacy practice, pharmacognosy and pharmaceutics. Candidates must also have an interest in contributing to the research effort of the pharmacy program.

Duties and Accountabilities
The appointee(s) will be required to:

• Contribute to the on-going development of the pharmacy curriculum;
• Prepare and conduct lectures, tutorials and practical in Pharmacy and other health disciplines;
• Establish and maintain links with the Pharmacy profession, locally, nationally and internationally;
• Actively contribute to the development of Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmacy Practice research programs and supervise postgraduate students.

Key Selection Criteria

• A degree in pharmacy or equivalent, combined with a PhD in Pharmacy;
• Experience in the development of teaching strategies and                                      materials relevant to contemporary pharmacy practice;
• Demonstrated ability to establish a research program preferably in                                   either Pharmacy Practice or Clinical Pharmacy;
• Good professional networking and organizational skills;
• Demonstrable inter-personal and people management skills;
• A record of research, publications, and conference presentations relevant to the subject.
